The Eternal

Beyond sleep and waking and subconscious, the awareness observes, hears, feels, smells, tastes, gastrates this life through this bodys senses.  The awareness produces each and every thought that occurs in "our" mind.  The silence between the thoughts is also produced by the awareness.  The space between the atoms within this body also is produced, maintained and destroyed by the awareness.  All of the meditations, prayers, contempations, rituals etc, amount to nothing because the awareness will remain aware whether we do anything or not.
The awareness continues as it has for eternity.  The awareness requires nothing of this body to remain aware.  So, what do "we" do?
When "we" turn our awareness back into the awareness, "we" connect our contrived self into the real.  Ramana Maharishi suggest we just ask: Who is asking, who am I?  I suggest we just wait and experience what happens.  Awareness will go where it wants to go.  It may focus on hearing, on listening.  Or it may move to taste or smell.  But let it be as it is going to be.  Just as it is!  For once, just let your awareness show itself to the "you" you've been creating.  The awareness is the creator, sustainer and changer in "your" life.  That awareness is what you've been looking for all of "your" life.  Hidden within you.  Behind the curtain of what you call you.  The moment you stop.  The moment you wait and expect the awareness to show itself, it will very simply.  Very innocently, very basically.  Then what?  Wait for it to show you something wonderful.  It will without fail.  It likes wonderful.

Awareness is the Core

Imagine...

Imagine accessing the core of creativity without doing a thing. No special meditations, prayers, fasting or rituals. The core of creativity doesn't require you to do a thing except be open to it. To be aware of awareness. It is the awareness that really sees, hears, feels, smells, tastes, understands and does. The cloak of identities that we wake up to each and everyday, is just the curtain hides the true awareness. The logical question arises: how do we become aware of awareness? The same way we accumulated the cloak of our identity except, in reverse.

Letting go...

Each and everyday, we accumulate more aspects to our manufactured identity. We manipulate what benefits us to fit our patchwork of identity. What if we could remove for a moment, that patchwork? To just set it aside. No thought, no I-ness, no me-ness. What would be left? Just awareness, the true enjoyer. This isn't adding yet another I-and-That relationship to feed offerings to and worship. This is connecting to the core where all thoughts come from. There's a multitude of methods to just let go which require you to wear a particular symbol, robe, hat or sit on a cushion. I'm talking about just letting everything go. Imagine that you've been missing from earth for a 1000 years and upon returning, there's no record or trace of you ever existing. Just let everything be as it is. Our minds love to attach items to this out of habit. You'll find almost immediately that it's your awareness that observes, hears, feels, tastes and smells. It's your awareness that understands. It's your awareness that manipulates the energy into form, the opportunities into action. Before we start to shape our life, we need to understand it's power source from a pragmatic experience. To understand pure awareness from within.

What now?

Just by taking our minds into a state of pure awareness. By, letting everything be as it really is; we begin to understand who and what is at the core of our being each and everyday. That eternal core that never dies, is always still and silent. And, is the true experiencer in our life.
